Dorm life! House Warming! ..and Class >>'

Hi !

So a big part of getting settled was home-ifying my room. Yes, you just read home-ifying. Luckily there was a Kmart type store nearby (RTmart) which had everything from food, to clothes hangers and toilet paper. Toilet paper was on the top of the list! Anyways...After a couple massive RTmart hauls of 100RMB each (about 20AUD), my dorm felt a lot more comfortable. Nesting! Gotta love it. Here are some before and after pics !

There is a slight difference to one of my shelves, because now, it has more snacks! ^_^ hehe (If you're reading this Api and Apa, Sorry! I am buying more fruits too! Promise. Love you!)

6 of us Australian girls moved out into an apartment, a really nice one!! So of course when they got settled in they had to have a house warming party!! It was an epic night! Got to meet so many international students. Its amazing how people from around the world can end up in one place for a myriad of reasons. I made friends with people from Korea, Japan, America, Germany, France, Egypt, Syria, England, Italy, and I feel like there's more. Just can't remember. Here come some of the party pictures:

And then...there was class. Hmmm wasn't sure how I felt about class being 5 days a week, but it's only from 8-11:40am, so can't complain. I get the rest of the day to explore! More about the exploring in the next post, for now lettuce talk about class.

Erryday green tea.
So, they speak Chinese, the whole time. Makes sense, yes, because its a Mandarin speaking, listening and writing class; but the first couple days I was like: Woa...what is she talking about. But third week in now and I'm feeling a lot more confident. I'm nodding when the teacher is speaking, and I actually know what I'm nodding about. Always a good sign. Indeed. One of the teachers is so sweet too, she wanted to take a picture with our class, then she emailed us the picture!

Class B1 buddies!
Shall continue about life in China in the next post! Keep it real! :)
